Lazetta Rainey Braxton, MBA, CFP® has been ranked second among the top ten on the Investopedia 100 list of the Most Influential Advisors of 2021 for her outstanding leadership in the financial services industry. This recognition marks the third straight year that she was named to the same list, with prior wins in 2019 and 2020. In 2008, she founded Financial Fountains, a fee-only financial planning and registered investment advisory firm that served clients around the country. In 2020, she merged firms with Rianka Dorsainvil, CFP®, to co-found 2050 Wealth Partners, financial planning for thriving professionals, small business owners, first-generation wealth-builders, and sandwich generation wealth-protectors.
In 2020, Braxton launched her new consulting group, Lazetta & Associates, to unearth traditionally taboo topics in the financial services industry by helping firms who care about diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging identify how they nurture their most valuable asset… their people.

This list celebrates individuals who have shown the ability or power to effect change in their role or area of practice through their passion for diversification within a specific industry. She has previously been honored as one of the inaugural Investment News’ Women to Watch list, as well as receiving its Excellence in Diversity and Inclusion See It Be It award. The Association of African American Financial Advisors (AAAA) awarded her its Leadership Legacy Award for her dedication to championing diversity in the wealth management field.
Braxton serves as Board Chair of the Association of African American Financial Advisors (AAAA) and as the AAAA Foundation’s inaugural Board President. She has devoted much of her career in financial services to diversifying the financial planning profession and creating progress towards a more inclusive field with career and advancement opportunities.
